Problem Solving

22 January 2010

This afternoon, after being dismissed from the Home Econs class,(by the way, I am the Homec rep) I dragged my mentally exhausted body to the bus stop outside the school.

It was an eventful day and I was kind of moody.

Wait...Wait...Wait...Where on earth is the bus?

Finally, after what seemed like a decade, the bus crawled to the bus-stop. As expected, it was crowded and I had to stand. Poor me! With a totally tired and irritable body and a thousand kilogram bag!

Quite a number of passengers alighted at Bedok Interchange so I finally managed to find a seat. Thank Goodness.

When it reached the stop outside ITE , many eager, adrenalin-charged teenagers boarded the bus. It was packed to the gills and crawled forward the spped of a snail. The bus was filled with energetic chatters of the ITE students. How I admire their energy levels after a long day in ITE!

When I finally squeezed my way and alighted. I reached into my pocket and to my great horror, my phone was not there! I was stunned. I searched my other pockets. It was not anywhere! Could it be on the bus? I stared stupidly at the back of the bus which by then should be at least hundreds of metres away!

Meanwhile my beloved mother, who has plenty of six sense, kept calling my phone. You see, she never called me while I was on the bus before. After countless tries, a Malay girl answered the call. She told my mother that she saw it on the bus and had picked it up. My grateful mother made arrangemants to meet her and ran out of the flat. I met her while trudging home and she pulled me with her to the interchange. After 2 more calls, we finally saw her and she returned the phone to me after checking the photos in my phone to confirm that I am the real owner.

Thank you, the kind-hearted, angelic Malay ITE girl. Thank you so much for returning my precious phone. Thank you for not selling it to the garang-gu-ni man. Thank you.
